My Therapy

Tonight, I left.

Actually, Hubs took all the kids Christmas shopping--All. Four. Kids.

They went out to shop for me (Yippee!), and I'm amazed at how I'm rubbing off on him. I offered him a fistfull of coupons for different stores around town. I don't know which ones he took, but I do know that he said a $30 gift for me turned into a $5 one. I told him he's not done shopping then.

So while he was stressing it up at the mall, I was lazing it up at home. I got my coupons all organized, my shopping trip all laid out, and I can't put into words how nice i was to shop at such a leisure pace without a baby pulling out all my coupons!

So, here it is.

The CVS Haul:

I spent $3.24!!!
I saved $41.83!!
They did not have my free contact solution, for the third week in a row now, nor did they have my free sleepmd stuff and my free EARinse. Like I NEED those things? But hey, they're free, and I actually remembered to get a raincheck for them all. I did forget the raincheck for the mascara I wanted, but I'm going to go back tomorrow to do that. These were my very first rainchecks ever. (And I price matched one thing at Walmart tonight for the first time ever too. I'm getting BRAVE!!) And the guy who checked me out tonight was the same one from Black Friday. I walked up to the register and he said, "Hey, I remember you! You had all the stuff and the Bite Me shirt!" Then he turned to the cashier next to him and said, "Watch and Learn." He even asked where my friend from last time was. I think we made an impression, Erin!
The Kroger Haul:

I also came out with a HUGE pack of steaks (should feed my fam for three or four nights!), two dozen eggs and a loaf of bread. I spent about $20.
But the toilet paper was free, with an overage of like 31 cents, I only spent like 1.25 apiece for each of the Gillette Body Washes (Hubs is gonna be smelling GOOD! *wink*) and like just a few cents for the other washes. I'd give ya the right totals, but I can't find the receipt. Bummer.
The Walmart Haul:

Now. This is in no way a comprehensive pic of my trip. But I did cut a full $20 off my bill with coupons, and I got some GREAT deals!
All the sausage you see? They had them on sale for $2 apiece. Last week when I hit Kroger, they had the sausage on sale along with a blinkie (coupons on the shelf) full of q's for it. I took like 6 extras, and so tonight, I got all the sausages for only a buck apeice! That's a deal.
The beggin strips only cost me 12 cents apiece, the Glade candles were a dollar, the Arm and Hammer cleaner was free, the carefree was free, the baking soda was a overage of like 20 cents, the baby microwave buckets were 6 cents apiece and the sugar cookie mix was 9 cents.

This is totally a cheesy rush, but I'm completely addicted. And hey, it made me feel better. At least for tonight! (But then what would you expect when I skipped out on dinner and bedtimes of Four kids! You Bet I'm feeling good!)

Free Mag Giveaway!

Bargain Briana is giving away an 18 month subscription to All You magazine, which is only sold at Walmart for like $2.40 or something like that. It's pretty awesome, b/c it's a cheap magazine, and it comes with tons of coupons in it every month. I just bought my first issue this week, and I will MORE than make up buying it with my savings! I'm hooked already! But since I've been going to Walmart less and less (b/c of all my other shopping! Whee!!) I think I'm going to get a subscription so that I don't have to make a special trip there. Plus it's cheaper to subscribe. I haven't yet figured out where I'm going to subscribe through, but I did find that amazon has a year for about 20 bucks, versus subscribing directly through All You is more like 26 for the year. Big difference!! Wow!!

Anyway, I thought this might interest someone, so here ya go! Check out the giveaway!

Free Mags!

Thrifty Mama has a link on her blog today for a free 5 issue subscription to a couple of women's magazines. They're ok, certainly not my favorites, but she does have a point that you can get some pretty good coupons out of magazines sometimes. And it is free. You don't have to enter in any sort of payment information, and thrifty mama doesn't post crap on her blog. Which leads me to believe this isn't crap. And I just did it, and it really was as simple as putting in your address.

So check it out on her blog here, or go straight to her links here and here.

I love free stuff!!!

Target Score!

Ok guys, here's what I did at Target today!

I got two Airwick Luminere starter kits, 2 packs Rayovac Batteries, and 4 packs of Goody's Ouchless Ponytail Holders.

My total before tax was $0.74!
However, my total after tax was $2.61! Can you believe the tax was so much! Crazy!

I also scored a newspaper subscription today. I had been buying the paper on Sundays for $1.25, and then on Wednesdays for 50 cents. So the deal is that I get it home delivered for $1.50 a week! All seven days!! For six full months, starting today!

Super exciting stuff!!

Obsessive Shopping

I'm going to try something new over here. I'd made this page to put my reviews (but really, who comes over here to read them?), but I never used it. However, since my new obsession is all about, uh, shopping (and not the high class kind, either) I thought I'd put all my brags and thoughts in a separate place, so as to not bore my uninterested readers. I'm sure some will spill over though. When shopping is as fantastic as this, how can you not shout it from rooftops? Although, really, if I were smart I'd hide this page from anyone who lives remotely near me so they don't get the itch and run out and buy all my deals!

Ok, so day one.

CVS--LOVE EM!!!!

Although I went to two stores and neither had my contact solution. Had I gotten the solution, I would have also come out with a buttload of batteries, spent only like $2 more and had a motherload!!

I spent out of pocket (OOP)...(are you ready?)...(drumroll!)...$1.45.

I got 4 20 oz cokes, 4 bottles of Theraflu Warming, a bottle of powerade, and the reeses. Actually, you need to picture two reeses there. They were just "fillers" for me, and well, the second one sure filled my belly well!

Can't wait for next week!!
